Teachers and parents are outraged over special education students' field trip to a Cracker Barrel in Maryland this week. Superintendent Maria Navarro stated in a statement that 11 students and seven employees from the Charles County Public Schools District in Waldorf, Maryland, were "refused service" at the Cracker Barrel restaurant on Tuesday. The excursion was a component of the district's Dr. James Craik Elementary School's community-based learning program. Students in special education programs are able to interact with the public and practice practical skills thanks to the training.
