In a post on Truth Social on December 9, President-elect Donald Trump announced the appointment of lawyer Harmeet Dhillon as the U.S. Department of Justice's associate attorney general for civil rights. Trump said, "Harmeet has consistently stood up to protect our cherished civil liberties throughout her career, including suing corporations that use woke policies to discriminate against their workers, taking on Big Tech for censoring our Free Speech, and representing Christians who were prevented from praying together during COVID."
