As more than 3 million people were checked by airport officials on Sunday, travelers returning home after the Thanksgiving holiday established a record. The Transportation Security Administration reported on Monday that it processed 3.09 million passengers on Sunday, roughly 74,000 more than the previous record. On July 7, a Sunday following a holiday, that milestone was established.
